HD Video of Downtown London, Ontario

My latest YouTube video, featuring a POV drive-thru along Dundas Street in London, Ontario. The video starts in the east end, somewhere around the Western Fairgrounds, or Fairgrounds District. It ends after travelling through downtown, crossing the Thames River and passing by the intersection of Riverside Drive and Wharncliffe Road.

Chicago and Los Angeles: Just Their 2nd Showdown in Stanley Cup Playoff History

The 2012-13 NHL Western Conference final series should prove to be an epic matchup between the Los Angeles Kings and Chicago Blackhawks. The Blackhawks won the Cup in 2009-10, their first since 1960-61, stomping out the hopes of the New Jersey Devils in six games...

The 3 Sun Class Ships of Princess

There are three vessels in the Princess Cruises fleet that are classified as Sun Class ships. The Sun, Dawn and Sea Princess are smaller ships, nearly 100 feet shorter than Princess Grand Class ships and with a capacity for 1000 less passengers and 300 less crew. These dimensions allow Sun Class ships to embark on more diverse itineraries and are not typically pegged to one or two home ports like the larger Grand Class boats.

Los Angeles Kings Team Cards From the 1970's

The Los Angeles Kings are gunning for their first Stanley Cup championship since joining the National Hockey League for the 1967-68 season. The only other time they have been to the finals was a loss to the Montreal Canadiens in 1992-93. Back in the 1970′s, O-Pee-Chee often included team checklist cards with a team picture on the front and player checklist on the back. What follows are the seven Los Angeles Kings team checklist cards produced by O-Pee-Chee during the team’s first full decade.

(note: article was written before the Kings won the Cup in 2012)

1990 NHL Entry Draft: 3 Star Goalies Go High in the Draft

The 1990 NHL Entry Draft is best known for an outstanding crop of first round skaters, including Owen Nolan, Mike Ricci and Jaromir Jagr. Something that set the 1990 draft apart from other years was the number of goalies picked in the early rounds. It is rare to have a goaltender go in the first round. In 1990 there were two. In fact, over the first two rounds there were three goaltenders selected. Each of the three went on to successful NHL careers with one still active.

Getting your Child a Passport in Canada

After my passport denial (click link for full story) adventure in 2009, I’m pretty conscious of getting things right when it comes to these international travel documents. When Eddie was born in June, 2012, we knew he would be travelling but didn’t think it was a rush to get the passport done yet.

After he was born, I went online to the Service Ontario site and quickly and easily got him registered, along with his social insurance number and birth certificate. However, there are two types of birth certificate, the long form and the short form. I chose the short form, not knowing what a long form birth certificate was and why anyone would have one.

The Knights have produced some great NHL hockey players through the years and some have even played for Toronto! Test and expand your London Knights hockey trivia with the following four hockey trivia questions.

Cool Tricks with Photoshop Elements That'll Wow Your Friends

Check out the following quick video tutorial I put together. Have you ever wondered how photographers create those images that are black and white, except for one or two highlighted areas that are coloured?

It's really quite easy using Photoshop Elements. The process on the video takes around a minute. Even that was moving pretty slow in order to emphasis each step.

If the video doesn't do it for you and you need some written clarification, go to this Photoshop Elements tutorial at ItsAboutTravelling.com.
