We’ve previously featured two of three members of G.A.G. (goal a game) Line from the New York Rangers, Vic Hadfield and Jean Ratelle. Rod Gilbert was the third member of the famous line and arguably the best.
The Rod Gilbert rookie card appears as number 62 in the 1961-62 Topps set. Along with the rookie card of Jean Ratelle, Gilbert’s card is the most valuable RC in the set at $150. The 1961-62 Topps issue consists of 66 cards and is valued at $1500 for a complete collection. The only player cards more valuable than the Rangers stars belong to Bobby Hull and Stan Mikita of the Chicago Black Hawks.
